Top Pumpkin Patches around Ottawa & ones SO worth the drive!

It’s that time of year!

Time to grab your favourite fall beverage and head to the pumpkin patch with your family to take that nostalgic family photo.

Whether your are drinking a pumpkin spice latte, apple cider, or a cranberry orange mimosa, I encourage you to check out some of my favourite fall destinations in the Ottawa area!

From animal farms, to hay rides, to the most magical pumpkin patches you have ever seen, I promise these local pumpkin patches do not disappoint and have a variety of activities which are fun for all ages.

There is so much you can do with your pumpkins. From decorating your porch, making jack-o-lanterns, baking delicious pies, or roasting pumpkin seeds, there are so many possibilities. I am excited to share a few of our family favourite pumpkin patches in the Ottawa area, including some we are excited to go to this year!

Ottawa Tree Farm

The Ottawa Fallowfield Tree Farm is a wonderful pumpkin patch open 7 days a week from 9 to 5. This farm has wagon rides, horse & pony rides, and bonfires available on weekends in October.

Log Cabin Orchard

Located in Osgoode, @log.cabin.orchard has apple picking and pumpkins, two of my favourite things in the fall.

They have a unique gift shop offering decor, apple products, and baked goods all available to purchase. With free admission and a delicious cantina, it’s no surprise this made our list!

The log Farm

Located on Cedarview Road in Nepean, The Log Farm is a close spot with many activities for the whole family.

Corn mazes, wagon rides, scarecrows, and pumpkins fill the farm in the fall. There are various play structures for children to explore and lots of friendly animals to see.

This farm is a part of Ottawa’s history as it was originally settled in 1854.

Tickets are required in advance and it is open:
Wednesday: 9am-12pm
Thursday: 9am-12pm
Sunday: 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm

Abby Hill Farms

@abby_hill_farms is located on Bankfield! They have free admission and an excellent assortment of fall items from decorations, veggies, and a ton of pumpkins.

Open 7 days a week until October 31st from 9am until 6:30pm. Grab your fresh local produce and snap that pumpkin patch photo I know you want too!

Millers Farm and market

Miller’s Farm is a four season family business just south of Manotick village.

There is no admission charges and plenty of free parking. Dogs are also welcome when on a leash!

Miller’s has tons of kids activities from tractor rides, corn mazes, and 8 archers to pick your own pumpkin, squash or gourds!

Their pumpkin house is a photo staple as well. (If you know you know!)

Foster Family Farm

So many fresh fruits and vegetables can be found at @fosterfamfarm. From strawberries to corn and a large pumpkin field! This farm doesn’t disappoint.

Ferme Proulx Farm

I am so excited to take my children here this fall. @fermeproulxfarm is transformed into a giant Halloween Playground! Their Pumpkin Fest runs from September 19th to October 31st!

They have fun fall activities such as inflable play structures, tricycle bikes, tattoo stations and a wagon ride that takes you through our mysterious forest (family friendly) to our pumpkin patch and corn maze.

Other seasonal outdoor activities including nature trails, taffy on the snow, guided maple syrup tours, a fire pit and so much more! They also have mazes, wagon rides, and a petting farm.

Located in Cumberland, just 30 minutes east of downtown ottawa!

Their customer appreciation day is Sept 19th, two for the price of one! (Kids under 2 are free!)

Kiwan Farm

A local family-owned farm specializing in fruits & vegetables.

Kiwan Farms hosts a Farmers Market which will be held October 16 & 17! They will have a variety of vendors from local artists to different types of cuisine and sweets!

Saunders Farm

Grab your little pumpkins and hurry to @saundersfarmfun to fulfil all your fall and Halloween desires!

If you are local to Ottawa than you have definitely heard of Saunders farm, or went here as a kid yourself!

The activities are endless as there is tons to see and do. From pumpkin patches, hedge mazes, witches coven, jumpers, play structures, puppet shows, parades, haunted hay rides, and spooky trails, this place is fun for all ages and truly has something for everyone!

Their FrightFest from 6:30-9:30pm on select dates.

Upper Canada Vilage: Pumpkin Infferno

Over 7000 handcrafted pumpkins all lit up at night. This place is just over an hour outside of Ottawa and is truly spectacular.

This event takes place in the evenings from September 24th to October 31. There are other daytime activities for children as well.

Ouimet Farm

Just over an hour outside of ottawa, @ouimet_farm_adventure has the most unreal mazes. Their large themed mazes are spectacular.

OPEN Saturdays and Sundays(10am-5pm) UNTIL OCTOBER 24. No reservation required. There are admission fees however children under 3 are free!

Grab your pumpkin and experience an afternoon playing in these mazes!
